After a bunch of tries I get it, or there are cases I don’t know if I ever signed up for this service and then I have to click the “forgot password” link where the site sends me my password or a new “reset” password and I have to generate a whole new password all over again. The real annoyance comes when I come back to the site and have to remember which combination of username and password I used. To increase the memorization complexity, sometimes the standard username I like to use isn’t available and then I have to use my second or third choice. Prior to getting a password memorization program I would often hesitate before signing up for another service because I’d think, “Uggh, not another password to remember.” I’d eventually cave in and end up using the same weak password I use for non critical sites (critical being anything where there’s money being transferred or tons of personal information and data). A royal pain the butt that will become more of a nuisance than just memorizing passwords. If you use different computers and different browsers, you need to sync up or use only one computer and browser. The problem with those solutions is they’re computer and browser specific. In fact, IE has password memorization built in and you can get plugins for Firefox that will memorize and generate strong passwords for you. Password memorization programs are not new. I could use one password for all of them, or get a password memorization program. I’ve got hundreds of accounts on various sites all over the Internet. The bane of having hundreds of user IDs and passwords So I thought I’d launch a series where I spotlight products that I actually use all the time and explain why they’re so great, and why it’s made my life so much simpler. Version reviewed: 6.9.0 What's Required in Version 7.2.I decided I would start a series entitled “Products I love and actually use.” While I do reports on tons of different technology, I only use on a regular basis a small fraction of those technologies. In conclusion: Due to its mobility, high security level and usability, I may say that this is one of the finest password managers on the market. RoboForm2Go files can be automatically sent by email as attachments, as the program will automatically detect the local email client. If you request any data after logoff, you will need to re-renter the master password. Pluses: A feature that I personally liked a lot was the thing that you can set the program to log off after a certain period of idle time this is an extra security measure which prevents disclosure of data due to the fact that you forgot to close it. You can set the program to show a toolbar on the bottom side of the browser or you can access it from the Windows traybar. Another data protection feature is the option to create/and restore backups of your files. ![]() You can also set RoboForm2Go name and icon on the removable drive. You can configure RoboForm2Go to start each time you insert your Flash drive. I tested the program using Internet Explorer and Mozilla browsers and it worked like a charm. ![]() You can use this program with any browser using the Internet Explorer Engine. You can store small protected text in the 'Safenotes' section this is very helpful when you need to add comments to different 'passcards'. The program stores your form completion data divided into three sections: the 'Logins' section stores your usenames and passwords, the 'Identities' section will store personal data such as name, phone numbers, business information, banking information, addresses, etc. You have the option of creating strong passwords using the password generator, in case you feel uninspired. All data is stored in secure 'passcards' protected by encrypted passwords (encryption algorithms: DES, 2DES, AES, Blowfish, RC6). All personal data, passwords, logins, etc., will be stored on the removable drive and you won't have to worry about temporary storage on local drives. The important fact is that the program can be installed and launched from a USB Flash drive. RoboForm2Go is an application designed to help you manage online identities, passwords and generally speaking, automatically fill all online forms that require personal data, logins and passwords.
